Kept is made by an indie, not a ticket queue. Email michael@oomny.nl and a real person — the developer — answers, usually within a day. If you’re mid-claim after a loss, say so in the subject line and you go to the front.
Restore your purchase
New phone, or reinstalled after a loss? Your unlock is tied to your Apple account, not to us:
- Sign in with the Apple account you purchased with.
- Open Kept → the unlock screen → Restore Purchases.
Family Sharing is enabled — household members share your unlock at no extra cost.
Restore your inventory
- Open Kept on the new device.
- Choose Restore from backup and pick your backup file (from Files, iCloud Drive, or wherever you kept it).
- Kept rebuilds rooms, items and photos, and shows you the counts.
Tip: run the Test My Backup drill after big documentation sessions — it takes a minute and proves the file restores while it’s easy to fix.
Quick answers
- Sync vs backup? Sync keeps devices matched. It is not a backup — create and verify a backup file for that. Kept tells you the same thing in-app, because the difference matters precisely once.
